What are you excited to learn more about in this course?

I want to learn how to get interesting noises into a program then manipulate them and make funky sounds appear - ala Art of Noise...

I would like to learn more with synthesizers. Such as how to make fat and rich sounds. Also how to make them dark or warm sounding... Also interested in learning more creative ways to create sends and returns... busses and aux... submixing as well. Highly interested in effects... saturation... fullness... eq and compression ideas.. interested in vocal, guitar, bass, strings, bells, percussion, B3 organs, slide guitar, impulse response, pianos, bgv's, and drum treatment as well... also tips on getting great guitar tone with amp simulators... plugin recommendations... plus final mixes and maybe some mastering. basically an overall experience to help get me closer to making great sounding records!

Mixing, arrangements, drum tones, stories and comments on process during music production. I can say that this platform is brewing an army to give the music scene a kick once again. I am really excited generally about everything.

I'm interested in the process of developing finished songs from the first few clips or licks that Peter had put down as the start of a demo. I've got literally hundreds of these pieces or parts of songs but I'd like to develop a workflow to bring them to completion.

I really want to learn how to work with percussion tracks in a way that supports the music. Peter Gabriel's use of novel percussion is one of the things that seems to set his work apart in the sonic landscape. I'm very interested in seeing what's happening in the mix. Cheers!-Wes

I'm excited to learn as much as I can, I'm new to this so I want to play around with music, experiment with different instruments and genres. I want to create my own music. I naturally good at coming up with melodies but want to be able to bring them in practice. I'm so excited to learn this course

Web-based audio production is still in its infancy, so none of the online tools are as robust as their offline equivalents. If you've used other DAWs, you're going to find Soundation pretty primitive. My attitude is, it's a miracle that such things are possible at all, and as the HTML 5 standard deploys further with its very sophisticated audio capabilities, there's going to be a rapid advance in web-based audio tools. It's sort of like the early days of desktop DAWs -- things were awkward and limited at first, but evolution was swift.

Great answer Michael. If you think of the sound field as a big box it's easy to imagine trying to pour a lot of sound into a small space. Panning, EQ and volume are the three tolls you have to fit all the sound into the box. A difficult task!
